Performance biking and lifestyle brand Harley Davidson announced the launch of two more bikes in the Indian market through the CKD route.
The company is extending its CKD operations with the introduction of these two brands from its Dyna range of motorcycles. The FXDB Street Bob and the FXDC Super Glide Custom are the two bikes that were unveiled at the Auto Expo here on Thursday. These two bikes were earlier offered as imports and will now be assembled at Harley Davidson India's facility at Bawal, Haryana, from knocked down kits supplied by the company's US parent.
The Street Bob, a tough big-twin with classic bobber style, will be the most affordable 1,600cc bike in India with a sub-Rs 10 lakh price tag, said Mr Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, Harley Davidson India. Riding enthusiasts can now place their orders at the company's seven dealerships around the country for the Rs 9.95-lakh bike.
